Sunstroke
Heatstrokes usually occur after a prolonged exposure to the sunlight. The first sign of a sunstroke is a sudden and general malaise, followed by headache, dizziness and nausea. The body temperature rises and the skin looks dry and very red.
What to do
The first thing to do is to go to a cool, shady place, lie down on the ground holding your legs up in the air. Dip a sheet or a large towel in cold water and wrap it around yourself to get instant relief. If it is possible, fill a tub with cold water and soak in. It is also advisable to put an ice-bag on your head. If after half an hour of “cooling treatment”, the body temperature does not drop, you should better call an ambulance.
