People with disabilities

General Information

The seaside resorts of Bibione, Caorle, Eraclea, Jesolo, Cavallino Treporti are equipped to provide hospitality to people with special needs. Here special routes to reach the coast even with aids are available; various bathing establishments have special equipment that allow bathing and organize specific leisure activities for guests with disabilities.

A free video-interpreting service in sign language (LIS) is also available in the Ulss4 first aid and hospitals and in various bathing establishments.


Ulss 4 offers “Nemo Beach”, deeming it important to offer a comfortable holiday to those with disabilities. Nemo is an equipped, easily accessible beach, part of which is organized, reserved and free of charge for those with certified disabilities.It also offers free car parking, beach umbrellas in large pitches for wheelchairs. Mobility aids are available as well.


Reservations for people with disabilities are possible from Monday to Friday, excluding holidays and days before holidays, to a maximum of 8 days (also separate) throughout the whole tourist season. Each beach umbrella place can accommodate a disabled person and a companion.

Reservations for associations and organizations that deal with people with disabilities are possible from Monday to Friday, excluding holidays and holidays, for a maximum period of 10 days (also separate) throughout the entire tourist season. Each umbrella place can accommodate a disabled person and a companion.

How to access the beach:

The entrance to Nemo Beach is in via Levantina 104 in Jesolo Lido. In the case of online booking, show the booking confirmation to the concierge staff.


For deaf tourists a video interpreting service in Italian sign language (LIS) is available in the health facilities of Ulss4 and in various seaside resorts on the coast. This service can be directly used with your mobile phone.

Since 2017 Ulss 4 has been coordinating a social and inclusive tourism project aimed at confirming and increasing good practices of social inclusion on the beaches of the Veneto region and from 2022 in all the main tourist resorts of the Veneto, with the involvement of all the 9 regional health authorities.

Actions envisaged by the “Social and inclusive tourism in Veneto” project:

  • construction of beaches and equipped tourist resorts
  • equipped transport
  • routes guaranteed at regional and local level
  • hotels / lodgings / equipped accommodation facilities
  • itineraries and tourist routes, regionally and locally equipped
  • removal of communication barriers for people with sensory disabilities
  • recreational activities for the users of the project and for tourists with disabilities and their families
  • internships for the job inclusion of people with disabilities
